Overview

This collection contains various reports regarding the education of Indigenous children in Oklahoma between the years 1938-1946 by Quaker, Christian, and Indigenous people. The Indigenous childrens' nation of origin include the Wyandotte Nation, the Seneca Nation, and the Osage Nation. Their schools include The Kickapoo School, the Seneca Indian School, and various Sunday Schools.

Emma Cadbury papers

Overview

The papers of Emma Cadbury (1875-1965), a Quaker social worker, consist of correspondence, programs, essays, notebooks, and clippings. These papers were kept by Cadbury while attending Quaker Women's Yearly Meetings and summer schools at Haverford and Bryn Mawr Colleges and the George School (Pennsylvania), during the early 20th century.

Abstract

This collection includes the correspondence, in original and typescript copy, of Hannah Francisco and others of her family. The letters primarily concern family matters, with some discussion by Rowland Reece about the state of Howard Orphan asylum with which he was involved. Other correspondents include Joseph and Esther Dickinson, and Miriam Maxwell. Also included are genealogical notes on the Dickinson family.

Overview Friends' Freedmen's Association was an organization of Philadelphia Quakers founded in 1863 as Friends' Association of Philadelphia and Its Vicinity, for the Relief of Colored Freemen.
