While it is clear that Edward M. Wistar (1852-1941) and his wife Margaret Collins Wistar (1853-1937) were Quakers, there is no information on the Dodge, White, or Starin families, nor has any connection between the Wistars with the other families been established. This collection contains letters and cards exchanged between various family members, including Elizabeth (Bettina) Vaux Wistar, Mary Emlen Wistar, and Frederic Vaux Wistar. Many of the letters were sent from Europe between 1893 and 1894. There is also an assortment of financial and legal papers. The section “Travel and Sightseeing Materials” is particularly noteworthy.
