Scope and Contents

Samuel L. Lightfoot (1798-1834), member of Chester Monthly Meeting and Clerk, 1829-1833, married Hannah Pennell in 1826. They owned a farm in Edgemont Township, Delaware County. Samuel died suddenly 10 mo 19 1834, and his widow took over running the farm with managers until son William P. Smedley was of age. The ledger was largely kept by Hannah Smedley.
