Scope and Content This collection is composed of the single, handwritten diary of Susan Foulke. Entries detail Susan’s daily life and include prayers, religious reflection, descriptions of visits to friends and family in Philadelphia and Burlington, N.J., and Births, deaths, and marriages within her family and the Quaker community. Foulke also describes the sermons of Elias Hicks, which she heard at various Meetings.
