Overview The American Friends Fellowship Council had its origin in the Fellowship Committee of the American Friends Service Committee. Founded in 1933, its primary purpose was to foster an increased interest in Quakerism throughout the United States and to draw all Friends groups into closer sympathy and fellowship. Scope and Content note This collection is comprised of two volumes of "The Reality of the Spiritual World," including both a typed manuscript and the handwritten draft of the volume. The volume was originally a series of lectures given by Thomas R. Kelly in New York in the Spring of 1940, and given again at Pendle Hill and published in 1942. The volume includes reflections on the nature of God and the nature of the spiritual world.
