Identifier: HC.MC-975-07-098
This collection is comprised of the single volume typed memorandum of Thomas Raeburn White, which he wrote for his children and their descendants. The volume begins with a brief genealogical history of White's ancestors, who came from England or Scotland, and initially settled in the Carolinas. White describes how the family migrated to Indiana when his father was a child, in search of a more religiously tolerant community, and provides brief family history for his mother and father. White also describes his childhood, early education, Quaker experiences, his college years at Earlham College, and his business endeavors in adulthood.
