Biographical Note

Pauline Gardner Palmer (1900-1952) was a Captain of the Women's Army Corps during World War II. She was born in New Haven, Connecticut, the daughter of William E. Gardner and Emily Hogarth (Covert) Gardner. She married Hugh Palmer and they had one son, Covert G. (Coco) Palmer. Palmer died in a car crash in Jacksonville, Florida, on her birthday in 1952.
