This collection is comprised of the single volume letterbook, containing the correspondence between William G. Rhoads, Samuel Rhoads, and Asa Wing. The volume includes both personal and business correspondence.

William Gibbons Rhoads (1838-1880) was born March 26, 1838 in Pa., the son of Samuel Rhoads Jr. (1806-1868) and Anne Gibbons (1809-1890). He married Sarah Wistar on November 26, 1866, and the couple had six children: Lydia Wistar Rhoads (1868-1920), Jane Gibbons Morris (1870-1950), Ethel Rhoads Potts (1871-1962), Edward Rhoads (1873-1903), William Rhoads (1876-1960), and Samuel Rhoads (1878-1930). William G. Rhoads died April 28, 1880.
