Leeds and Tatum family collection

Scope and Content

The collection consists primarily of photographs depicting various Tatum and Leeds family members, including Sarah Mickle Tatum and Lewis L. Tatum, but also Daniel Leeds and a picnic at the Joseph Sturge First Day School. In addition, there are commonplace books of Sarah M. Tatum, at least one kept while she was a student at Westtown Boarding School in Westtown, Pennsylvania and of Lewis L. Tatum.

Biographical note

Lewis Leeds Tatum (1874-1932) was the son of William E. and Hannah Leeds Tatum. At the time of his death, he lived in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Sarah Mickle Tatum (1817-1896) was married to William R. Tatum, an elder of Woodbury Monthly Meeting in New Jersey. (Information from The Friend)
