This collection is composed of a single original, handwritten copy of the diary of Hannah (Peters) Bringhurst. Entries largely focus on religious reflection, but also describe social calls and Quaker meetings.

Biographical note

Hannah (Peters) Bringhurst (c. 1751-1782), a Quaker, was born circa 1751. She married James Bringhurst in 1778 and the couple had two daughters. Hannah Bringhurst died in 1782.
