Biographical / Historical

Ambrose Hunt was born in Philadelphia, PA on December 15, 1827 to Uriah Hunt and Elizabeth Shreve. He entered Haverford College in 1842. He did not complete his degree, leaving the college in 1845 when Haverford temporarily closed. He went on to become a bookseller and publisher, until his death on February 24, 1880 in Philadelphia, PA.
