Abstract
This collection includes letters and legal documents of the Gest family over several generations. The collection also includes genealogical information on the Gests, their ancestors the Dickinsons, and their descendants, the Pownalls. Notable among the correspondence is a letter from Philadelphia Western District Women's Meeting to Deborah West, Jr., reprimanding her for disunity, presumably with the Hicksites.
