Abstract This collection includes letters received by Laura Lippincott Pancoast regarding the movement for temperance and women's suffrage. Letters refer to Francis B. Willard, and describe in detail the activities and philosophies of J. Ellen Foster. Letters discuss the issue of the WCTU's involvement with party policies. Correspondents include Anna H. Shaw, Anna A. Gordon, and J. Ellen Foster.

Redman family papers

Abstract This collection includes Mercy Redman's journal of her visits to eighty-seven meetings in New York, New England, and Pennsylvania. During this time she met and travelled with John Woolman. Also included is a copy of the record kept by Thomas Redman of his imprisonment and trial for refusing to take an oath of loyalty to the United States. A poem written by John E. Redman and various other family documents are also included.

Emmor Roberts transcribed letters to Israel Roberts

Overview Collection of typed transcribed letters written by Emmor Robert, New Jersey Quaker farmer, to his son, Israel Roberts, a student at Swarthmore College, Class of 1878. Contains descriptions of daily life on the farm, family and Quaker local news.

Roberts-French family papers

Abstract This collection includes letters and papers of the Roberts and French families. Included is a record of the disownment of Asa Roberts from the Orthodox meeting in 1828, presumably due to his Hicksite beliefs,and a letter from John Mott to Josiah Mott, regarding Quaker testimony and issues of the Hicksite separation. Also included are wills and deeds of Robert French and other members of the family, as well as maps and charts of their properties in Burlington County, NJ.

Abstract This collection contains the completed questionnaires and related correspondence which were the basis for C. Marshall Taylor's Trends amongst Friends : Study which was made as a result of a questionnaire sent to pastors of Friends churches in U.S.A. The study was made independently by Taylor to survey the reaction of Friends pastors concerning the possibility of unification of all American Friends.
