The collection contains typescripts of lectures written by Pulitzer Prize winning political cartoonist Signe Wilkinson. Most are autobiographical and reflect her Quaker beliefs as well as activism through art. The papers are annotated and often include doodles and sketches.

Biographical / Historical
Signe Wilkinson was born in Wichita Falls, Texas, on July 25, 1950. She received a Bachelor of Arts in English at the University of Denver and then attended the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in Philadelphia. In 1992, she became the first woman to win the Pulitzer Prize for Editorial Cartooning, and her editorial cartoons were syndicated. She is an member of Chestnut Hill Friends Meeting.
