Biographical / Historical

Townsend Cooper was a farmer in Lower Merion and Haverford Townships in Pennsylvania. In 1820 he married Elizabeth Lukens who was disowned by Radnor Monthly Meeting for marrying a non-Quaker. In 1835, after Elizabeth's death, he married her sister, Mary.
