Biographical / Historical
A preparative meeting was established at Huntington in about 1750. When Menallen Monthly Meeting was set off in 1780, Huntington Preparative Meeting came under its care. After the Separation of 1828, Orthodox Friends at Huntington withdrew and eventually were joined to Baltimore Monthly Meeting (Orthodox). Huntington Preparative Meeting (Hicksite) remained under Menallen until 1885, when it began meeting only once a year.
