Biographical / Historical

With the consent of Concord Quarterly Meeting, Eastland and Little Britain Preparative Meetings joined together to form Little Britain Monthly Meeting in 1804. The first meeting was held in 10mo 1804. Little Britain came under Baltimore Yearly Meeting in 1819 upon the creation of Nottingham Quarterly Meeting. During the Separation of 1828, the meeting affiliated with the Hicksite branch of Friends, as a majority of members identified themselves as Hicksite. Little Britain Monthly Meeting alternated between the Penn Hill and Eastland meeting houses in the 20th century.
