Biographical / Historical
Roanoke-Blacksburg Monthly Meeting began in 1967 when Friends met in a program about Quakerism that was held in Roanoke. The Friends who attended the event hadn't known each other previously but decided that they would start gathering on Sundays. This meeting split in 1992 and Roanoke and Blacksburg became independent meetings.
