Biographical / Historical

Plattekill Preparative Meeting was allowed as a worship group in 1801 and set off from Valley Preparative Meeting in 1807. In 1828 it divided into Orthodox and Hicksite branches. The Hicksite branch was laid down in 1832; the Orthodox branch continued until it changed its name to Clintondale in 1879. In 1902 it changed from a preparative to a local business meeting. In 1941 Clintondale Preparative Meeting became a monthly meeting, set off from Marlborough Monthly Meeting.
