Biographical / Historical

Peru Preparative Meeting was set off by Saratoga (later Easton) Quarterly Meeting, under Danby Monthly Meeting, in 1798. It was transferred to the newly- established Peru Monthly Meeting in 1799. In 1828 it split into Orthodox and Hicksite branches. The Orthodox branch was attached to Ferrisburgh Monthly Meeting in 1868 and continued until it was laid down in 1870.
