Biographical / Historical

Saratoga Monthly Meeting was established in 1794, set off from Saratoga (called Easton after 1795) Monthly Meeting. Until 1795 this meeting was known as "Monthly Meeting at Saratoga West Side of the River." It was a part of Saratoga (later Easton) Quarterly Meeting until Saratoga Quarterly was established in 1813. The Hicksite branch of this meeting remains active. The Orthodox branch was laid down in 1855, members attached to Moreau Monthly Meeting on its establishment in 1856.
