A meeting for worship was established at Burlington circa 1677. The meeting became part of Burlington Monthly Meeting in 1678. A preparative meeting was established in 1776.

In 1832, Burlington Monthly Meeting (H) recorded that the preparative meeting at Burlington had sided with the Orthodox, and the monthly meeting no longer was responsible for its members. In 1843, an indulged meeting at Burlington was established by Burlington Monthly Meeting and Mount Holly Monthly Meeting. By 1870, this meeting was no longer held every month.
