Minutes of the Business Meeting, 1936-1991 and 2004-17. Vol. 1936-1947 also contains minutes of Norristown Preparative Meeting, 1936; vol. 1972-1978 includes minutes of the Annual Meeting of the Corporation and other legal papers, 1962-1986. Records also include an index of marriage records, financial and property records, and a newsletter, Friendly Notes.

Biographical / Historical

Norristown Monthly Meeting was established in 1936 by Abington Quarterly Meeting (Hicksite) out of Norristown Preparative Meeting at the dissolution of the first Gwynedd Monthly Meeting (Hicksite). It became a united meeting in 1953 by affiliation with the two Abington Quarterly Meetings. Norristown is currently an active monthly meeting
