Biographical / Historical
A meeting for worship and preparative meeting attached to Philadelphia Monthly Meeting for the Southern District were established by Philadelphia Quarterly Meeting in 1772. These meetings remained with the Orthodox Friends after the Separation. No further information about the preparative meeting is available.
The meeting for worship for the Southern District was discontinued in 1872 and an indulged meeting at Orange Street was established by Philadelphia Quarterly Meeting (Orthodox). This meeting was discontinued in 1909.
