Biographical / Historical

An independent meeting for worship and monthly meeting were organized at State College, Pa. in 1925, under the care of the two Philadelphia Quarterly Meetings and The American Friends' Fellowship Council. In 1949, State College became affiliated with the two Philadelphia Yearly Meetings as a united meeting under Philadelphia Quarterly Meeting (Orthodox), Philadelphia Quarterly Meeting (Hicksite) and Centre Quarterly Meeting (Hicksite) of Baltimore Yearly Meeting. In 1977, the meeting was transferred to Milville-Muncy [Upper Susquehanna] Quarterly Meeting. This meeting is currently active and retains its affiliation to Philadelphia and Baltimore Yearly Meetings.
