Scope and Contents
Records of Valley Monthly Meeting, from 1820s to present. Records include business minutes from 1936-2018 (including digital minutes); property records related to the land, meetinghouse, and burial ground, including the early 19th century site survey; some minimal membership information from the 1980s and 1990s, several member histories of the meeting, the Living Memory Project (a 2000s oral history video series), a partial run of its newsletter, and committee records primarily from the 1980s and 1990s (particularly Overseers records).
Some property records deposited by the Trustees in 2017 relate to the meetinghouse prior to its monthly meeting status, but most records of Valley Preparative Meeting are described separately.

Biographical / Historical
Valley Monthly Meeting was established in 1936 by Philadelphia Quarterly Meeting (Hicksite) out of Radnor Monthly Meeting's Valley Preparative. In 1955, Valley became a united monthly meeting when it reunited with Philadelphia Yearly Meeting (Orthodox). It was transferred to the newly-formed Haverford Quarterly Meeting that same year. Valley is currently an active monthly meeting in Wayne, Pa.
