Records of Wilmington Preparative Meeting, 1811-1891, include: pre-Separation rough minutes, 1812-1819; Hicksite minutes, 1857-1891; Orthodox minutes, 1831-1848; minutes of the Hicksite women's meeting, 1870-1891; Orthodox women’s minutes, 1883-1907; Hicksite financial records, 1811-1891; and minutes of the Society for the Relief of the Poor, 1813-1815.

Biographical / Historical
A meeting for worship at Wilmington was established in Twelfth Month, 1737/1738 by Chester Quarterly Meeting under Kennett Monthly Meeting. A preparative meeting was established there by 1750. After the Separation of 1827-1828, there were two Wilmington Preparative Meetings. The Orthodox preparative meeting was discontinued in 1907. Regular sessions of the Hicksite preparative meeting were suspended in 1891.
