Scope and Content note This collection is composed of seventeen, handwritten volumes of George Bacon's diaries from 1813-1829. All of Bacon's diaries were written in "the Gentleman's Annual Pocket Remembrancer," which, in addition to Bacon's daily entries, includes an almanac, lists of members of the U.S. government, and a list of the Army and Navy for each year.
