Scope and Contents This collection contains the materials of several generations of American Quaker families. Prominently featured are Richard Reeve Wood and his wife, Nancy Morris; Richard's father, Edward S. Wood; and Richard's grandfather and grandmother, Alexander Cooper and Mary Emma Stokes Wood. Other Quaker families represented in the collection are Acton, Carpenter, Clark, Ellicott and Evans.

Scope and Content note This collection is comprised of the single folder of the papers of Richard Reave Wood, and includes: a pamphlet entitled "Notes and Documents: Indian Deed for Petty's Island, 1678" written by Edwin B. Bronner in 1965, a handwritten copy of Petty's Island Deed, as well as photos and photocopies of the deed, two letters of personal correspondence, and two oversized indentures on vellum.
