Biographical Note

Jane Fenn Hoskins (1694-1764) was a Quaker minister and the author of her autobiography, "The Spiritual Sufferings of That Faithful Servant of Christ Jane Hoskens, a Public Preacher among the People Called Quakers." She was born in London in 1694, and travelled to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 1712, at the age of 19. As a Quaker minister, she travelled to Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, Barbados, Rhode Island, Nantucket, Massachusetts, New York, and New Jersey. Jane Hoskins died in 1764.
