Scope and Contents
This agreement discusses who can live among the Native Americans, permits for liquor sales, and punishments for those who declare that the English are not their friends. It is signed by James Logan, William Penn's secretary, in the presence of five other colonists, and Widaagh or Orytyagh, Andaggyjunkquagh, CunnyaTagaagh, ConnotaghSaw, Moyonteequagh, and Misquohissy for the Susquehanna and Sheona.

Biographical note
There is little known information about the Native Americans who signed this document. Widaagh or Orytyagh and Andaggyjunkquagh also signed a 1700 document giving the English rights to the Susquehanna River. James Logan was the first secretary of the Pennsylvania colony under William Penn, a position he obtained in 1699. Hewas born October 20, 1674 in Lurgan, Ireland, the son of Patrick and Isabel Hume Logan. Logan gained great wealth through trade during his time in Pennsylvania. He died in 1751.
