Includes: minutes (men's), 1828-1835; women's minutes, 1801-1824 & 1828-1835, and miscellaneous papers, 1825-1876.

The latter includes extracts of the minutes of Peru Monthly Meeting relative to the laying down of Grand Isle and a letter from Seth Hoag to Benjamin Macomber (1876) contesting the sale of the meeting house.

Biographical / Historical

Middle Hero Preparative Meeting was established by Peru Monthly Meeting in 1801. In 1814, the name of Middle Hero was changed to Grand Isle Preparative Meeting. The Preparative Meeting was laid down in 1835.
