Biographical / Historical

Scipio Monthly Meeting was founded in 1808 under Easton Quarterly Meeting. In 1828 it divided into Orthodox and Hicksite branches. In 1847 the Orthodox branch underwent a further schism as the Wilburites separated. In 1962 the Orthodox branch became Poplar Ridge Monthly Meeting, which body continues to the resent day.
