Biographical / Historical

A meeting for worship and preparative meeting at Solebury were established in 1805 by Bucks Quarterly Meeting under Buckingham Monthly Meeting. The first business sessions opened in 1806. In 1811, the meeting for worship and preparative meeting were transferred to Solebury Monthly Meeting. In 1829, Solebury Preparative Meeting (Orthodox) was attached to Buckingham Monthly Meeting. The preparative meeting was discontinued in 1855; its members were attached to Buckingham Preparative Meeting. The meeting for worship was discontinued in 1857. The Hicksite branch of the preparative meeting was discontinued in 1885.
