Overview

The Friends Committee on War Tax Concerns (FCWTC) was created in 1985 under the sponsorship of the Friends World Committee for Consultation (FWCC). Its stated purpose was to address the widespread and growing concern in the Society of Friends on many aspects of war taxes. This collection contains the records of the Friends Committee on War Tax Concerns, including minutes, correspondence, publicity, and financial records.

Overview In 1974, Philadelphia Yearly Meeting was restructured: three Coordinating Committees were each given oversight of the committees and programs under its care. The Coordinating Committee II, more frequently referred to as CC-2, had general responsibility for Testimonies and Concerns.
