Overview The collection contains diaries of Ann Price Gibson Paschall Jackson (1792-1874) who served as a Quaker minister for over forty years. Ann P. Paschall (later Ann P. Jackson) was recorded as a minister of Darby Monthly Meeting (Hicksite) in 1831. In 1849, she moved to Birmingham Monthly Meeting where her children were members. Patience Hunn Jenkins (1805-1884) was a Quaker minister of Camden Monthly Meeting, Delaware. The collection contains journals, a letter book, and miscellaneous correspondence reflecting her life in the ministry and social concerns. Her brother, John Hunn (1818-1894) with whom she was very close, was a major participant in the Underground Railroad.

The manuscript entitled, "Sermons by Eli and Sybil Jones," recounts a sermon given by Eli Jones, and a second sermon given by Sybil Jones (beginning on page 22) at Devonshire House, on February 17, 1869. Eli Jones's sermon focuses on 2 Thessalonians 3:1, and Sybil Jones's sermon focuses on Isaiah 21:11.

This collection is comprised of the typed scripts of a play written by Mary Hoxie Jones, entitled "The King's Missive," as well as two copies of the program of the Annual Business Meeting and Entertainment of Friends Historical Association, and a reproduced letter with a wax seal addressed to "Carles R." and signed by "William Morris," and was presumably used as a prop in a production of "The King's Missive."

Mary Shackleton Leadbeater was an Irish Quaker poet and author. Her diary was written for Sarah Dillwyn, and entitled "A Tour Through the Northern Part of England." Entries describe Leadbeater's arrival in Dublin, her voyage to England, including a description of the ship and passengers, her arrival in Liverpool, and her travels to see various Friends throughout London and Northern England.
