Elizabeth Gray Vining (1902-1999) was an author of children’s books and served as the tutor to the crown prince of Japan, Akihito, from 1946 to 1950. Overview George A. Walton (1883-1969) was the long-time headmaster of the George School, a Quaker boarding school in Newtown, Pennsylvania. He succeeded his father as headmaster in 1912 and served until 1948.
