Scope and Content note This collection is composed of ten volumes of George Churchman's original, handwritten diaries. Churchman frequently traveled throughout the Mid-Atlantic and New England regions and many of his entries describe his travels to visit various meetings and Quaker families from Pennsylvania to as far north as Massachusetts. Henry Drinker papers

Scope and Content note The correspondence, 1785-1840, primarily concerns lands belonging to Henry Drinker (1734-1809) near Southport, PA and with financial matters, though there is also a letter from John Pemberton to Drinker in 1792 inviting him to dine with Indians. Letter writers include George Churchman, Rebecca Jones, John Pemberton, David Sands, Samuel Fisher, George Dillwyn, William Dillwyn, Henry Drinker and others. One letter is from William Alexander to Nathan Kite in 1840.
