Scope and Content note This collection is composed of Paul M. James's single volume manuscript, entitled; "Cromwell and the Quakers: A Historical Dissertation." The manuscript compares the lives of Oliver Cromwell and George Fox, their relationship to each other, and their affect on the Puritan movement in England. The manuscript was James's thesis for his B.A. from University College, University of Wales, in 1952.
Scope and Content note This collection is comprised of the single volume, typed, manuscript of Elizabeth Stanley Trotter's "The Children of Light: Being the story of George Fox, the Quaker, and of Oliver Cromwell, the Soldier, and of William Penn, the Settler, and some of those who followed them." The manuscript is entirely written in verse, and is split into four "books." Book one includes: "The Youth," "The Hermit," and "The Search."
