Scope and Content note This collection is comprised of the single volume manuscript of Margaret Ellis's memoir. The volume begins with an account of Ellis's convincement (i.e. conversion to Quakerism) at the age of 14, her experiences in the Society of Friends and her experiences as a minister, and her travels as a minister in England from Philadelphia with her friend Margaret Lewis.
