Scope and Content note This collection is composed of the single volume manuscript, "The Life and Travels in the Ministry of the Gospel of John Pemberton," written by William Hodgson, Jr. The manuscript was compiled by Hodgson from Pemberton's manuscript diaries and letters. The manuscript recounts his early life, first journey in Europe with John Churchman, excerpts of diary kept during revolutionary war, his second visit to Europe, and his travel in England and Scotland.
