ALS. Gossipy letter from the famous English dandy. "I believe . . . it is [Lord Harrowby's] intention to stand for the vacant pontifical chair, the Pope having just ascended to the bosom of St. Peter, provided Lady Harrowby will assist his installation by the loan of the faded purple pelisse in which she landed here."
