This publication is a student guide put together by Haverford and Bryn Mawr College students to orient incoming first-year students to college.

Scope and Contents

The collection contains one issue of the Bi-Co magazine Inquiry. The issue includes commentary on life inside and outside of the Bi-co as well as drawings, political cartoons, humor, and a call for advertisements.

Overview Laura Elizabeth Knipe (1932-2010) was a graduate of Bryn Mawr College (Class of 1953). Throughout her time as an undergraduate she produced numerous cartoon drawings based on her and her friends’ experiences as Bryn Mawr students. Many of her witty cartoons good naturedly mock their own study habits, life in the Rockefeller Dorm, academics, particularly the Anthropology and Geology departments, and their social antics and misadventures. Scope and Contents The Songbook Collection houses the student songbooks published by Bryn Mawr College. This collection, which dates from 1889 to 2017, consists of printed booklets, published bound books, printed sheets, and handwritten sheets with annotations and music notations, evidencing the tradition of oral songs and singing in Bryn Mawr College undergraduate student life. The collection is not a full run of songbooks from every year, but contains a sampling of songbooks from every decade with large gaps...
