Abstract
Howard W. Hallman has been a peace and social justice activist since the 1950s. He was a conscientious objector during the Korean War and opposed the Vietnam war. Hallman has worked for nuclear disarmament since the 1980s, especially in an interfaith context. He is a founder of Methodists United for Peace With Justice and associated with the Interfaith Committee for Nuclear Disarmament.
