Abstract John M. George (1802-1887) was the son of Joseph and Alice Malin George. He was a birthright Quaker and member of Radnor Monthly Meeting. The George family came to Pennsylvania from Wales in 1708 and settled in Blockley Township, Pennsylvania. Records of the Hicksite preparative meeting and of its predecessor, the pre-Separation preparative meeting. Included are: minutes,1702-1705, 1832-1834, 1854-1859, 1862-1951; burials, 1682-1919 and 1918-1929; deaths 1702-1808; membership, 1848-1887 and 1929-1930; women's minutes, 1819-1836 and 1848-1884; financial and property records; and miscellaneous papers.
