Overview In October 1928, Kaufman became the first paid employee of the War Resisters League, eventually becoming its Executive Secretary through 1947. He co-founded the Metropolitan Board for Conscientious Objectors.

Overview Roy Kepler was a radical pacifist and conscientious objector during World War II, owner of Kepler Books in Menlo Park, California, involved for many years with the War Resisters League, one of the founders of the Pacifica Foundation and public radio in California.
Overview The War Resisters' International was founded at Bilthoven, Netherlands, in 1921 by representative pacifists from that country, Germany, Austria and Great Britain. The War Resisters' International was never more than a coordinating body in its relationship to affiliated groups.
