Families of Philadelphia papers
Papers of the Philadelphia families Bloomfield, Coates, Cresson, Emlen, Gumbes, Horner, Howel, Lloyd, Macomb, Moore, Vaux and Wetherill families from the 19th and 20th centuries. Some of these families were Quaker, including Coates, Emlen and Vaux; others had some Quaker family members, including Cresson, other families, including Gumbes and Wetherill, did not remain Quaker.
Luke W. Morris and Samuel B. Morris papers
This is a collection of the papers of Luke W. Morris (1768-1830) and Samuel B. Morris (1791-1859), members of a Philadelphia Quaker merchant family, dating from 1798 to 1842. Most of the papers pertain to the Morrises' business and personal finances, although they include a small amount of personal correspondence.
Morris Wistar Wood Collection
The papers of related Quaker families including Collins, Cresson, Emlen, Morris, Wistar and Wood, consisting of travel letters, diaries, notebooks and photographs. Principals in the collection are Horatio C. Wood, Annabella Cresson Wood, Morris Wistar Wood, Caleb Cresson and Charles Wood.
