Abstract
Abraham Egnal was a former teacher of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was very active in the Philadelphia area peace movement. He received his B.S. and M.A. degrees in economics from the University of Pennsylvania. Egnal organized many peace rallies and marches. He was the chairman of the West Philadelphia-Main Line Committee of the National Committee for a Sane Nuclear Policy, the Greater Philadelphia Council, and the Philadelphia Mobilization Committee in 1967.

Jack was executive secretary of the Chicago Council Against Racial and Religious Discrimination (1943-1948), executive director of SANE (1960-1964), and secretary general of the World Conference on Religion and Peace (1970-1983). David McReynolds (1929-2018), was an activist with the War Resisters League, the Socialist Party USA and the Democratic Socialists of America. He was an editor of Liberation magazine in the 1950s and a leader of the WRL from the 1950s until his retirement in 1999.
