Abstract
Cora Weiss is a peace and social justice leader and activist. She is a supporter of the United Nations, an early member of Women Strike for Peace, a leader in the anti-Vietnam war movement in the United States. In the 1970s Weiss was the director of the Riverside Church (New York, NY) Disarmament Program. Weiss was also active with SANE, SANE/Freeze, Peace Action, and The Hague Appeal for Peace. Peter Weiss was born in Austria and moved to the U.S. in 1941. He worked has as a lawyer from 1955 to 2006 and is interested in nuclear policy and other human rights and peace issues. He is married to activist Cora Weiss.
