Arthur W. Clark Prison Reform Papers
The collection contains correspondence and other papers of Arthur W. Clark, a Quaker active in prison reform and restorative justice. Long active in Philadelphia Yearly Meeting committees, he was the first secretary of the PYM Prison Service Committee established in 1960, and he served as Executive Director of the Clemency Project Working Group. A small amount of personal correspondence is included.
Elizabeth Cunningham family papers
Elizabeth Cunningham (1934-2020) was a Quaker who held administrative positions at Philadelphia Yearly Meeting in the 1980s and 1990s. He husband William Cunningham (1930-2019) was a philosophy professor at Cheyney University. This collection documents the couple's lives, as well as that of Elizabeth's mother Jennie Ault, with a focus on the 1950s and 1960s.
Philadelphia Yearly Meeting Records: Friends' Workcamp Program (1942-2015)
The Weekend Workcamps Program originated on the eve of World War II. It provides volunteers and opportunity to work in an inner city community, interact with neighbors, and dialog on peace and justice issues. Today the Friends' Workcamp Program operates under the auspices of Philadelphia Yearly Meeting's Standing Committee on Peace and Concerns. Records include minutes, reports, project files, correspondence, and other records from 1942 to the present.
